LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WVUE) A Galliano man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly tried to swallow the bags of drugs he was hiding in his mouth, according to Sheriff Craig Webre. During the stop, agents identified the rear seat passenger as 46 year old Daniel Barrios II, who had multiple warrants for his arrest.In talking to Barrios, agents said they noticed he wasn speaking clearly, and they ordered him to open his mouth. Barrios initially tried to swallow the bags, but he eventually complied, revealing four small bags containing suspected methamphetamine and an unknown white substance.
